This is the post that I keep track of all the books I have read this year, what I thought of them and a quick rating. This post will be updated live as I read a book.
I will note whether they are an audio book or not as I am limiting myself to only consuming audio books whilst running. This coupling of reward and habit is proving useful but also can impact my overall view if the book.
For those of you playing at home, this is also a great way to motivate me to read more.
Here lies the collected of books I have read. I consumed their stories just before bed. Sometimes I read them whilst running around. Below are the summaries of what I found.
Tools of Titans - Tim Ferriss
This book is essentially a cliff notes to all of Tim Ferriss's favourite episodes from his podcast. The structure of the book makes for great reference material and I know that I will be returning to it throughout the year when looking for inspiration, motivation and ideas.
The book is segmented into three categories based on Ben Franklin's famous quote: "Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."
This segmentation (and the ongoing conversations about it) has drilled home the idea of implementing these columns or themes within my life.
Ego is the Enemy - Ryan Holiday (audio book)
American Gods - Neil Gaiman (audio book)
22 Immutable Laws of Marketing - Al Ries and Jack Trout
