I have always been a wantrapreneur.
The allure of the freedom, the risks, the excitement of owning my own business has always been a pipe dream of mine.
If you have a similar feeling then you know exactly what I’m talking about when I say I have run hundreds of businesses in my mind. Some of them even made it to paper. Hell, if you look really hard there are even some basic landing pages still floating around the web boasting my half baked ideas. It was going to be the be all and end all of (insert industry here). I would completely revolutionalise first that small sector. And then the world.
But I never saw it through. Not even to the beginning stages.
I am in love with the idea of leaving my 9-5. But I also have a dirty little secret. I love my day job.
Sure it’s safe and the easy option and I even get to go home on time most days. But I also have an amazing team that I work with, care about the work that I’m doing and am learning so very much along the way.
So there. I admit it. I am a serial wantrapreneur who is in love with being an employee.
